The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Rainbow Children’s Hospital provides highly specialized care to the new born who are in critical state. Our physicians, nurses and allied medical care professionals who work in NICU have extensive knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience to quickly assess and treat patients so that the neonates can achieve the best outcomes possible from critical illness or injury that requires special care. The use of advanced technologies and provision of latest technologies provide support for speedy recovery. The unit has already set a benchmark in ensuring survival of extreme preterm babies by saving the smallest baby born in India at 25 weeks gestation and almost 3000 preterm babies have been treated with 96% survival. |

Children with difficult to treat asthma are given an asthma care plan as well as measures to avoid potential triggers. Allergy testing (specific IgE) is done to aid diagnosis of the above allergic conditions. Investigations like flexible bronchoscopy, Chest X ray and CT scan to help in the diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions. We have expert ENT surgeons to support us in the management of upper airway problems and experienced physiotherapist for chest physiotherapy in chronic conditions. At Rainbow Hospitals, The Radiology Unit provides specialized radiology services to ill children and neonates. We offer quality diagnostic imaging testing for patients of all ages, in all stages and variations of health and disease. These tests allow physicians to make comprehensive evaluations, and diagnose, plan and monitor treatments. We perform about 1200-1300 x rays, 100-110 contrast studies, about 100 CTs and 700-750 Ultrasound procedures every month. All the investigations are done by trained staff under the supervision of expert Radiologists who provide the finest care for your children. |
